This ring is a magical artifact that shares a symbolic relationship between Howl and Calcifer. Crucial to Howl's survival, he puts a ring on Sophie and she discovers the ring's significance of its magical properties, always leading her back to him.

Howl’s Moving Castle is my all time favorite movie, and I have been wearing this ring every second since the moment I got it!
